2. Purpose and scope

These Terms and Conditions of Sale govern every subscription sale made on tangente-mag.com by ÉDITIONS PÔLE to consumers (private individuals) located in France and internationally.

Placing an order implies full and unconditional acceptance of these terms. A printable version is available on the site.

3. Subscription plans and pricing

Subscriptions are offered in four plans. All prices are shown in euros, tax included.

Pricing notice: the prices in this document are indicative and reflect the rates in force on the last-updated date shown at the top of the page. These terms are not updated in real time. Only the price shown on the subscription page at the moment you confirm your order is binding and constitutes the contractual price. If the prices below differ from those shown at checkout, the checkout prices prevail.

ÉDITIONS PÔLE reserves the right to change its prices at any time; changes do not apply to subscriptions already under way.

4. Subscription content — quota system

Every subscription that includes postal delivery entitles you to a set number of issues per publication (referred to below as « quotas ») for the period you subscribed to:

• Tangente Magazine: 6 issues per year (3 per half-year, 12 over a two-year period)
• Special editions (Hors-Série): 4 issues per year depending on the plan
• Bibliothèque special editions: 4 issues per year depending on the plan

Each postal mailing (routage) consumes one unit of quota. Once a publication's quota is used up, the subscriber is no longer included in that publication's mailing until the next renewal or top-up. Renewing the subscription fully replenishes the quotas for the new period.

The quota mechanism described above is stable and reflects how the service actually works. The pricing attached to each plan, however, can change independently of this mechanism and may not always be reflected in these terms in real time.

Unlimited digital access is available either through the 100% Digital plan, or by adding the XXL option to a print plan. Without this option, the Plus, Super Plus and Soutien plans give access to the print issues only.

5. Order and confirmation

Under Article L. 221-14 of the French Consumer Code, orders are placed in two steps:

1. Choosing the plan, duration and options, then entering delivery details
2. Reviewing the order summary and confirming it by clicking « Je m'abonne »

By clicking « Je m'abonne », you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. The price shown on screen at the moment of confirmation is the contractual price of your order. A confirmation email showing that price is sent to you immediately.

6. Price and payment

Payment is made online, securely, through our provider Stripe. No card details ever pass through ÉDITIONS PÔLE's own servers.

Accepted payment methods are those offered by Stripe at the time of the order (Visa, Mastercard, etc.).

Payment is due in full when the order is placed. For subscriptions with automatic renewal, the charge is repeated when each period ends, at the rate in force on that date, after prior notice.

7. Automatic renewal

For plans that include postal delivery (Plus, Super Plus, Soutien), automatic renewal is on by default and can be turned off freely from your subscriber account, or by contacting our customer service before the renewal date.

Under the French Chatel law, you will be notified of the upcoming renewal by email at least 30 days before the charge date, so you can exercise your right to cancel. A billing cycle that has already been charged is not refundable (see section 9).

8. Delivery

Print magazines are shipped by post to the delivery address given when ordering. Shipments go through a collective mailing provider on each release. ÉDITIONS PÔLE cannot guarantee an exact shipping date, as it depends on the mailing schedule and postal delays.

If an issue is not received, the subscriber has 30 days from the release date to report it to customer service at [email protected]. A reshipment or a credit will be offered, subject to availability.

Any change of delivery address must be reported before the next issue is shipped. ÉDITIONS PÔLE cannot be held responsible for delivery errors caused by an incorrect or outdated address.

9. Right of withdrawal

Print plans without the XXL option (Plus, Super Plus, Soutien)

You have 14 days from order confirmation to exercise your right of withdrawal, provided no issue has been shipped yet. Once the first issue has been mailed, withdrawal is no longer possible.

Plans that include digital access (XXL option or 100% Digital)

These plans include a digital component whose delivery starts immediately once the order is confirmed. Under Article L. 221-28 12° of the French Consumer Code, by confirming your order you expressly acknowledge that delivery of the digital service begins immediately, and you expressly waive your right of withdrawal for that component.

For the print component of plans with the XXL option, the right of withdrawal still applies up until the first issue is mailed, within 14 days of the order. In that case, only the print share of the subscription is refunded; the digital share (XXL option) is not.

To exercise your right of withdrawal on the print component, contact us at [email protected] with your name, order number and your wish to withdraw. Where withdrawal is valid, the refund is made within 14 days of receiving your request, using the same payment method as the original order.

10. Cancellation

100% Digital plan: can be cancelled at any time, with no notice period, from your subscriber account. Digital access remains active until the end of the period already paid for.

Plans with postal delivery (Plus, Super Plus, Soutien, with or without the XXL option): automatic renewal can be cancelled at any time before the next renewal date. A billing cycle that has already been charged is not refundable: the subscriber keeps receiving issues against the remaining quota until it runs out.

Cancellation requests can be sent by email to [email protected] or made from your subscriber account.

11. Digital access

Digital access is provided through tangente-mag.com, reachable once you create an account and log in. ÉDITIONS PÔLE undertakes to keep digital access available throughout the subscription, subject to interruptions needed for maintenance, which will be announced whenever possible.

Digital access is strictly personal and non-transferable. Sharing your login details or letting a third party use them is prohibited. ÉDITIONS PÔLE reserves the right to suspend access in the event of a breach of this rule.

ÉDITIONS PÔLE reserves the right to evolve the site's interface and features, without this constituting a substantial change to the services subscribed to.

12. Liability

ÉDITIONS PÔLE does everything it can to ensure the availability and quality of its services. It cannot be held liable for postal delays beyond its control, cases of force majeure, or occasional technical interruptions of the site.

In any event, ÉDITIONS PÔLE's liability is limited to the amount of the current subscription.

13. Intellectual property

All content accessible through the subscription (articles, illustrations, archives) is the exclusive property of ÉDITIONS PÔLE or its rights holders and is protected by copyright. Any reproduction, even partial, is prohibited without prior written authorisation.

14. Personal data

How your personal data is processed as part of your subscription is described in our Privacy Policy, available on tangente-mag.com.

15. Disputes

In the event of a dispute, you can contact our customer service at [email protected]. If no amicable solution is reached within 60 days, you may bring the matter before the competent courts.

Under Article L. 612-1 of the French Consumer Code, a consumer mediation service will be made available to subscribers. Contact details for the appointed mediator will be published on this page once one has been appointed.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the French courts have jurisdiction.
