Once a month, she welcomes fellow women researchers (and a few men) for conversations lasting around an hour and a half that offer a window into the world of mathematical research. Each interview has three parts: the guest discusses their background, studies and reasons for pursuing a career in research; they then describe their daily life as a researcher and their relationship with mathematics; finally, they are given free rein. The diversity of the guests also provides an opportunity to explore how different research institutes operate and the wide range of fields encompassed by mathematical research. The programmes are intended both for curious members of the general public and for high-school students who would like to learn more about how these professionals experience their work and how to pursue such a career themselves.
