The 2018 winners will be announced at Tangente Day on December 2.
The new development, beginning with the recently launched 2018–2019 prize, is that schools can now enter and organize the competition internally. The teachers in charge must then select between one and three groups of students, whose projects will compete against those from other schools to determine the winner.
CASIO Education, which partners with the Société informatique de France in sponsoring the competition, has decided to give a CASIO Graph 90+E calculator equipped with Python to the first ten schools that register and commit to having their students learn to program in Python (the AI in the projects need not be programmed on the calculator).
