The top five books will then be presented to a jury that will meet this coming November. We already know that Manu Houdart, winner of the 2021 edition with his madcap Very Math Trip (Flammarion, 2019), will be invited to join the jury.
The shortlisted books were published between January 1st, 2020 and June 30, 2021, and must "inspire readers to learn more about mathematics."
Enjoy the selection below! The number in parentheses indicates the issue of Tangente in which the review appeared. You have until September 30 to cast your vote by visiting tropheestangente.com/PT2021.php.
