Created as part of a modernization drive, it brings together the association's two previous publications: the renowned Bulletin Vert, whose origins go back to the founding of this more than century-old association, and the more recent journal PLOT (Partager, Lire, Ouvrir, Transmettre), with its greater focus on classroom applications. Its launch was admittedly somewhat difficult, amid the resignation of the former editorial board and internal tensions, but the new publication is here. Entitled Au fil des maths – le bulletin de l’APMEP, it is full of promise.
A new A4 format that is easy to handle and reproduce, a new cover design, the contents prominently displayed on the back cover, a square spine, full-color printing, fewer pages admittedly, but shorter articles and a decidedly new approach—for members, this is paired with a digital edition accessible via a QR code. The content is innovative too: a running theme, marked by a logo throughout the pages, sets the tone for the chosen theme—"multiplication" in this first issue. The theme is explored at every level, from preschool to university (in keeping with the association's slogan): "Avec les élèves," featuring classroom activities; "Ouvertures," venturing beyond the school curriculum; "Récréations," offering a playful approach; and "Au fil du temps," providing historical insights and resources for further study. All of this gives the journal fresh appeal and makes it a source of inspiration for committed teachers, very much in the APMEP tradition.
