The first is Armand Colin's single-volume reissue, in the original format (landscape), of the complete comic series "La famille Fenouillard" (published between 1889 and 1893), "Les facéties du sapeur Camember" (published from 1890 to 1896) and "L'idée fixe du savant Cosinus" (published between 1893 and 1899; see Tangente SUP 67–68, page 13). It is a chance to revisit the "Phileas Fogg-style" adventures of a bourgeois French family, delight in Camember's sometimes rustic blunders and rediscover the absent-minded Cosinus, the first mathematician in the history of comics. Above all, it is an opportunity to rediscover just how boldly innovative the author, George Colomb (alias Christophe), was for his time, particularly in his artwork.
