A new president for the CIJM

The International Committee for Mathematical Games brings together around forty international associations working to bring mathematics to a wide audience. It produces game booklets, themed brochures, puzzle collections, exhibitions and games, most of which are available on the **www.cijm.org** website. For twenty years, it organized the "Culture et jeux mathématiques" fair, where it developed the Euromath competition and the André-Parent Prize.

This impressive momentum was built under the presidency of Marie José Pestel, who devoted herself passionately to helping the CIJM flourish from the time Gilles Cohen founded it.

For her work promoting mathematics,

Marie José Pestel was made a Knight of the National Order of Merit by the Minister of National Education.
