An active research group -----------------------------
"Philosophie et recherches sur les sciences et les technologies" is the full name behind Les Archives Henri-Poincaré (AHP), a joint CNRS/Université de Lorraine/Université de Strasbourg research unit (UMR 7117).
This transdisciplinary team, built around Henri Poincaré's name and work, aims to unite, within a single project, scientists interested in the history and epistemology of their disciplines with philosophers, sociologists and historians willing to engage with scientific content, while shedding historical and philosophical light on the scientists' research. Extending beyond Henri Poincaré's own work, this symbiosis between disciplines has, for example, made it possible to structure the AHP's overall project for 2018–2022 around three themes: Digital Humanities and Archives, Science and Reflexivity, and Philosophy, providing a framework for seminars and conferences such as the one scheduled to take place in Nancy in July 2022.

Poincaré's correspondence goes digital! -----------------------------------------
The website henripoincare.fr is the product of a monumental effort to archive, transcribe and digitize more than 2,000 letters from Henri Poincaré's correspondence. Whether written in his own hand or addressed to him, they are a veritable gold mine for historians of science seeking to trace the scholar's scientific and personal journey. The site includes both private correspondence and scientific discussions between Poincaré and eminent mathematicians of his day – such as Gösta Mittag-Leffler and Vito Volterra – as well as exchanges with physicists, chemists and astronomers…
For each letter, the site also provides a set of metadata (document type, date, sender, address, location, rights…) together with comments and references that place the remarks in context and offer perspective on the letter's contents. Several indexes and two built-in search engines make the site's contents easy to explore, whether you are looking for a particular letter or investigating how a given subject is treated in the mathematician's correspondence.
Finally, the site reproduces, either in part or in full, the contents of several publications on the history of science devoted to Poincaré's correspondence. A remarkable historical database, open to all!

A wide-ranging project: the "Henri Poincaré Papers" -----------------------------------------------
Another tribute to the celebrated French mathematician, the Henri Poincaré Papers website (**henripoincarepapers.univ-lorraine.fr**) brings together letters, manuscripts, publications and resources relating to Henri Poincaré's work. After being restructured (see above), the "correspondence" section "migrated" to henripoincare.fr.
On the original website, the bibliography brings together more than 600 articles, books and scientific reports written by Poincaré himself, which can be filtered using a dedicated search engine. These include the archives of the Académie française des sciences, featuring such famous names as Camille Jordan, Joseph Bertrand and Charles Hermite, and those of the Académie des sciences de Saint-Pétersbourg, where Aleksandr Liapounov's name appears. The site also features all the major conferences, including the most recent, held on June 16, 2021, on the theme "The human computers of the Bureau des longitudes," at which Guy Boistel presented the unsung men and women who had carried out these calculations since 1802. None of this wealth of information would have become available to the general public without the "Henri Poincaré Papers" project.
