Arnaldo Pomodoro (born in 1926) is an Italian sculptor who creates monumental bronze pieces, including his "Spheres" series. These spherical sculptures have a smooth outer surface that opens to reveal a fragmented, fractured inner world, where a second sphere and mechanisms drawn straight from the artist's imagination come into view. This allegorical sculpture, shaped by a variety of philosophical and artistic influences, has been replicated for display in several cities around the world.
